The ideal applicant should be CAD proficient and possess experience in detailed structural workings, preferably in portal framed structures covering agricultural, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Job description

One of the main steelwork fabricators in the Midlands require aSteel Detailing Technician (CAD Technician, Tekla Detailer or StruCAD experienced detailer) to join their friendly and highly skilled SteelDetailing Team inDudley. They specialise in themanufacturing and delivery ofa wide range of structural and secondary predominantly across the agricultural, commercial, industrial, leisure and local authority sectors, predominantly portal framed structures but with additional primary and secondary steelwork included.

Overview:
My Client has a small and friendly in-house Team of Designers and Technicians and ideally are looking for a CAD proficient Technician with additional detailing skills in either Tekla or StruCAD.

The role will require you to produce accurate 2D and 3Dstructural drawings and details including the production and creation of fabrication, manufacturing, and general arrangement drawings. You will be involved in the successful delivery of a project right from inception to completion; supporting the project with the delivery of structural details and design work in CAD, Tekla or StruCAD.

Experience Required
It is essential that all applicants have prior experience to draw upon as a CAD Technician, Engineering CAD Technician or Steel Detailer with CAD, Tekla or StruCAD expertise to offer and relevant structural steelwork experience.
