Job summary

Employment Solutions is recruiting an experienced Tekla CAD Technician to join an established structural steelwork and fabrication engineering business in Widnes. The role focuses on producing accurate 3D Tekla models and detailed fabrication drawings, with a requirement for strong AutoCAD skills and thorough interpretation of technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Tekla Structures experience - Essential.
• AutoCAD experience - Essential.
• Strong understanding of structural steelwork and fabrication processes.
• Experience producing 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working independently and within an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures.
• Prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Use AutoCAD to produce and amend technical drawings.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings meet fabrication and manufacturing standards.
• Liaise with engineers, fabricators and project teams.
• Maintain high levels of drawing accuracy and quality.
