Job summary

ABM Careers in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure safe, compliant operation of steam, condensate, heating and associated pipework. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance and oversee statutory compliance, aligned to SFG20 standards.

With a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent, you'll bring at least three years' experience in industrial mechanical pipework, steam systems, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or vocational qualification in Pipe Fitting, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum three years' experience working on commercial/industrial mechanical pipework systems.
• Demonstrable experience maintaining and repairing steam and condensate systems.
• Knowledge of steam traps, valves, PRVs, strainers and related components.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Competent IT skills, including CAFM and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance to steam, condensate and heating systems per SFG20.
• Inspect, maintain, fault-find and repair steam and condensate systems.
• Maintain valves, steam traps, PRVs, pumps and pipework.
• Support inspections and PSSR activities including system isolation.
• Record all maintenance activities in the CAFM system.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental legislation.
