Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification is essential for this role.

Statutory, VAT & Regulatory Reporting Accountant (part time)

Your Impact

• You will ensure timely preparation and submission of both UK and Overseas legal entity statutory reporting and tax returns, in accordance with local GAAP/ IFRS and other reporting standards.
• You will be responsible for timely preparation and submission of regulatory and compliance reports & surveys.
• You will support the analytical review process, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with VAT return preparation.
• You will establish and manage strong relationships with the tax team, external auditors and tax advisors.
• You will support the manager with common processes, and other adhoc projects to drive efficiency and quality improvements within the team.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, CA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong technical understanding of local GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS for financial reporting, including knowledge of overseas legislation and requirements.
• Experience with statutory automation tools, including the use of RPA and AI.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivots and formulas. SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Prior experience in auditing, particularly within large practice firms, would be an advantage.
