Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Statutory Reporting Accountant for a 12-month contract in Aberdeen. Hybrid role: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.

You will prepare and review UK statutory accounts under FRS 102, coordinate audits, and resolve technical accounting queries while liaising with auditors and international finance teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with external audit delivery experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP especially FRS 102 and US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel and attention to detail with ability to manage deadlines.

Statutory Reporting Accountant

Aberdeen - Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

£70-£80 per hour (Umbrella/Inside IR35)

12-month contract

Are you a qualified accountant with experience preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and managing external audits?

This is an opportunity to join an established international engineering business on a 12-month contract. Working within its UK finance team, you will take responsibility for statutory reporting across several large UK entities with international operations.

You will work closely with external auditors and finance colleagues, preparing statutory accounts, resolving technical accounting queries and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.

Knowledge of IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley or Caseware/statutory accounts production software would be advantageous.

The Role:

• Prepare and review UK statutory accounts and disclosures in accordance with FRS 102.
• Coordinate external audits, including preparing audit packs and resolving audit queries.
• Identify and calculate adjustments required to convert US GAAP reporting to UK GAAP.
• Support group consolidation and provide technical accounting guidance to finance colleagues.
• Prepare technical papers covering complex transactions and accounting judgements.
• Improve statutory reporting processes, controls and the use of reporting systems.
• Support wider European statutory audits, transfer pricing activities and ad hoc reporting where required.

The Person:

• Qualified accountant, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience in statutory reporting and external audit delivery.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, particularly FRS 102, and US GAAP.
• Confident preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and interpreting technical accounting guidance.
• Advanced Excel skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently and communicating with auditors and stakeholders across an international business.
