Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Compliance & Safety professional to support governance across Critical Environment assets, Data Centres, LV infrastructure, UPS, HVAC and related services. You will help ensure statutory inspections, risk assessments, audits and maintenance documentation meet regulatory and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience with compliance across complex assets and safety/gov frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001/14001/45001 management systems.
  • Ability to support audits and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Support compliance across Critical Environment assets, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, contractual, and client requirements.
  • Support governance across Data Centres, LV infrastructure, UPS systems, standby generation, HVAC and associated services.
  • Support governance of the Preventative Maintenance (PM) programme, ensuring strategies align with statutory obligations and manufacturer guidance.
  • Ensure planned, completed and recorded statutory and maintenance inspections, examinations, testing and certification activities.
  • Monitor compliance and PM performance, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain compliance registers, SOPs and documentation to support audit readiness.
  • Develop, support and maintain quality and safety management systems for efficient and safe operations.
  • Lead and support technical and safety assurance activities including risk assessments, audits and inspections; support investigations and corrective actions.
  • Monitor staff development of technical competence and authorised persons qualifications.
  • Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems through internal and external audits.

About The Role:

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 7:45 - 16:30

  • Support compliance across Critical Environment assets, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, contractual, and client requirements.
  • Support technical and safety governance across Data Centres, LV infrastructure, UPS systems, standby generation, HVAC and associated mechanical and electrical services.
  • Support governance of the Preventative Maintenance (PM) programme, ensuring maintenance strategies align with statutory obligations, manufacturer recommendations, SFG20 guidance, asset criticality and operational risk.
  • Ensure statutory and maintenance inspections, examinations, testing and certification activities are being planned, completed and recorded efficiently.
  • Monitor compliance and PM performance, identifying compliance risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain compliance registers, safe operating procedures and compliance documentation to support audit readiness.
  • Develop, support and maintain quality and safety management systems to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Lead and support technical and safety assurance activities across Critical Environment operations, including risk assessments, audits and inspections. Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Monitor and support the development of staff technical competence (authorised persons, suitably competent and qualified person, etc.).
  • Support the successful delivery and continual improvement of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems through internal and external audit programmes.
  • Proactively monitor emerging legislative and regulatory changes, standards and industry best practice, ensuring procedures and maintenance strategies remain current.
