Do you hold a degree in Statistics or Mathematics with Statistics, along with advanced Excel skills? If so, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a Statistician to join the Regulatory Interface team.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Interface, you’ll collaborate with a team of statisticians to manage and enhance Royal Mail’s independent Quality of Service (QoS) surveys, while ensuring compliance with regulatory QoS and Mail Integrity standards.
You will also:
• Lead monthly data quality checks and reporting for Ofcom and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and European standards.
• Manage survey contractors and resolve data issues.
• Explore new technologies (e.g., tracking devices) to enhance measurement accuracy.
• Automate data validation and analysis processes.
• Provide insights and recommendations through deep-dive statistical analysis.
• Support audit risk assessments and propose contractor solutions.
About you:
To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed:
• A degree in Statistics or Mathematics with a strong statistical focus.
• Proven experience designing and analysing large-scale surveys and complex datasets.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a strong advantage.
• Exceptional analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to communicate insights clearly and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with Royal Mail’s operational processes or regulatory environment is desirable.
