Brief Description

The role

We have an exciting opportunity within Network Rail High Speed for a Station Transformation Project Manager. You will be responsible for the delivery of operations across the 3 High Speed stations.

The role involves supporting the Station Managers in delivering a safe and efficient passenger experience. You will report to the Head of Stations and Passenger Experience and will be responsible for key station workstreams and projects, such as reviewing operational station documents, updating event plans, and supporting station teams to meet contractual requirements, particularly for London St Pancras High Speed. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders and train operators across all three stations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading operational activities across the three stations, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and continuous improvement in customer experience for stakeholders and clients.
  • Supporting Station Managers and the Head of Stations in operational projects to enhance performance and assurance across the stations.
  • Developing and implementing operational strategies, monitoring standards for compliance and assurance.
  • Fostering strong relationships with retail and station teams through collaborative management initiatives.
  • Managing operational initiatives and projects, liaising with internal teams (fire, safety, asset management), coordinating safety reviews, risk assessments, and data collection for projects.
  • Identifying minor capital works, coordinating with delivery teams for timely execution, and minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Managing interfaces with stakeholders via pre-start meetings, ensuring safety, statutory compliance, and professional standards.
  • Seeking new initiatives to improve training and competence across the stations.
  • Working with station teams to establish operational standards, compliance, and assurance protocols, and finding innovative solutions to operational challenges.
  • Collaborating with operations and customer service teams to enhance customer experience, measured by OSAT scores, and ensuring a safe environment for all users and staff.
