Job Description:

Station Systems Technician Early & Late Shifts (Level 4) - United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working alongside technical experts who are proud of their impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team handling complex, critical tasks that help build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure.

Reporting to the Duty Manager, the successful candidate will perform planned preventative maintenance on CCTV, CIS, PA, SISS (Station Information and Security Systems). The role involves working 4 days on, 4 days off, with 12-hour shifts alternating between Earlies (6am-6pm) and Lates (12pm-12am).

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting qualified technicians with fault rectification on CCTV, PAVA, PHP, and CIS screens
• Attending planned, remedial, or corrective maintenance tasks
• Maintaining SISS assets and reporting station communication faults
• Using field IT equipment for real-time maintenance data
• Liaising with Telent Service Centre for task updates and completions

Ideal candidate profile:

This entry-level role suits hands-on individuals who enjoy multitasking and learning. Experience in a similar role or understanding of Network Rail health & safety procedures is beneficial.

Key requirements:

• CCTV, IP networking, or electrical background
• Good understanding of O365 and IT awareness
• Problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Availability to work 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts, alternating between Earlies and Lates
