An exciting opportunity to join our Underground Station Assistant team has arisen. Being at the forefront of the business the role can bring about the stepping stone to an exciting career path. Station Assistants are the face of Merseyrail and therefore play a vital part of the success of our business. Working within the stations function you gain experience as we touch every part of the business therefore providing a good grounding as to how Merseyrail work as a business and insight into our customer base.
These are fulltime (35 hours) permanent roles, working various shifts including weekends and Bank holidays. The salary is £23,842 for up to 4 weeks training and following completion of training the salary will increase to £27,735 per annum. This role requires you to be on shift before the first service and after our train services finishes, you must be able to make your own way to and from work and will not be able to rely on the train service. If progressed through all stages, you must be available for a start date of Monday 4th May 2026 and for the duration of the 4 weeks training. To be successful you would need to have a basic knowledge of the role, Merseyrail network and the company. As part of the recruitment process, a pre-employment medical, including a Drugs & Alcohol test, will be required.
