Job summary

Vertu FM is seeking a Depot Maintenance Electrical or Mechanical Engineer for a permanent, full-time site-based role in Biggleswade. The position offers £39,316 including standby fee, 40 hours per week across rotating shifts, and benefits such as pension and healthcare.

You will assist the Depot Maintenance Technician, perform planned and reactive maintenance, ensure accurate paperwork, and respond to service desk requests while maintaining safety standards and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Electrical fault-finding, repair and maintenance capability.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and BS 7671 qualifications.
• Mechanical qualification in Plumbing/Heating/Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Depot Maintenance Technician with maintenance works.
• Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance within timescales.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately per procedures.
• Respond to Service Desk requests and carry out repairs as required.
• Prioritise and complete minor maintenance within timescales.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available and serviceable.
