Join a leading teaching hospital as a part-time physiotherapist in a dynamic musculoskeletal outpatient team. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse patient population, manage complex cases, and develop your clinical and leadership skills. You will be part of an innovative healthcare environment committed to excellence, with opportunities for personal development and collaboration with experts in the field. Enjoy a range of NHS benefits, including flexible working hours, career support, and a friendly, inclusive workplace culture. If you're passionate about patient care and professional growth, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Norfolk and Norwich Hospital is a leading teaching hospital with world-class facilities, and physiotherapy is playing an instrumental role in exciting developments in the Trust. Our patients rate us highly on quality of care and having friendly, approachable staff, and we are looking for like-minded individuals to join us on this journey.
It is an exciting time to join our service as the Trust is committed to becoming a designated major trauma centre over the next 5 years, with investments being made in elective care provision and transformation.
Our team is growing, and an opportunity has arisen for an experienced physiotherapist to join our Musculoskeletal outpatient team. The post will suit individuals who have worked in an acute setting, completed their core rotations (Band 5 Physiotherapist rotation programme, or similar), or already have relevant experience at Band 6 level and are looking to further develop specialist skills in musculoskeletal outpatients.
In this substantive role, you will have opportunities to manage Consultant referrals for a wide variety of patient groups requiring acute and specialist management, including complex acquired conditions, trauma, orthopaedic pre- and post-operative care, and rheumatology. We also offer experience working with our physiotherapy staff service team, managing NNUH staff who self-refer with musculoskeletal injuries or concerns affecting their ability to work. You will work in various settings, including virtual and face-to-face 1:1 appointments, groups and exercise classes, clinics, and hydrotherapy. We will endeavour to provide broad experience to develop your knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will be required to support our weekend inpatient service across trauma and orthopaedics.
You will work alongside and learn from staff who are experts in their field and will have opportunities to develop both your clinical and leadership skills, working with junior staff, physiotherapy support workers, and students.
You will receive supervision, annual appraisal, and actively participate in your personal development.
Please note, candidates must be available for face-to-face interviews for these posts.
