Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor delivery of WMGC's Corporate Plan.
• Manage stakeholder engagement across public sector and academic partners.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, presentations, and Board papers.
• Support policy development and translating insights into strategic actions.
• Lead Board governance processes, including meetings and reporting.
• Manage projects, timelines, resources, and key priorities.
• Work closely with senior leaders to support strategic decision-making.
• Represent WMGC professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

The West Midlands Growth Company (WMGC) is the region’s economic development delivery organisation.

From April 2026, we will lead the delivery of regionally commissioned economic development activity aligned to the West Midlands Growth Plan, working in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority and local authorities.

The Role

As our new Stakeholder Engagement & Policy Lead, you'll work at the centre of WMGC's strategic activity, helping to align business planning, stakeholder relationships, policy development, and organisational performance. You'll collaborate with senior leaders, local authorities, universities, and regional partners to ensure WMGC's activity supports regional priorities and delivers measurable impact. You'll Be Involved In:

• Supporting the delivery and review of WMGC's Corporate Plan.
• Building strong relationships with local authority, university, and regional stakeholders.
