Job summary

VolkerLaser, part of VolkerWessels UK, is recruiting a Stakeholder Liaison Officer to support the National Highways Framework, coordinating with project teams on updates, public information events and communications around milestones.

The role involves drafting responses to enquiries, supporting MP briefings, arranging site interviews, and maintaining relationships with Hampshire County Council and other stakeholders across Guildford and Southampton. The contract is fixed-term for up to 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Issue monthly or fortnightly stakeholder updates as the project progresses and hits key milestones / TM phase switches
• Prepares responses to customer and stakeholder complaints and enquiries
• Prepares wording for NH webpage updates and works with the NH Comms Team to ensure accuracy of social media posts
• Support with narrative for any MP or Parliamentary briefings
• Attend site for any media interviews (could involve radio & TV filming / recording)
• Helps organise and plays an active role in Public Information Events, attending in person, in advance of construction
• Attends the NH customer / network occupancy meeting every fortnight (known as the 'BULB') to give project programme progress updates
• Ideally someone with familiarity of the Area 3 network and key stakeholders, such as Hampshire County Council
