Job summary

Hi-Line is offering an 18-month apprenticeship focused on hygienic stainless steel fabrication and pipework installation. The program covers TIG welding, drawing, marking out, drilling, cutting, grinding and cleaning, with work split between the workshop and customers' sites.

Trainees will travel weekly to In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge (WS9 8UG) for the Level 2 General Welding qualification. Working hours are 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, within a hands-on environment that develops

Qualifications

• Develop interest/experience in the fabrication and welding of stainless-steel products.
• TIG welding experience or training.
• Ability to read drawings and mark out components.
• Familiarity with drilling, cutting, grinding and cleaning processes.

Responsibilities

• Apprenticeship delivered over 18 months; travel to In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, one day per week.
• Develop practical skills in fabrication, welding and pipework.
• Work will be based in the workshop and at customers' sites.

With over 35 years of experience, Hi-Line are proud to support a wide range of industrial sectors, including brewing, food and beverage, water treatment, chemical, process, and nuclear industries with pipework installation, vessels & fabrication works, on-site maintenance and coded welding services.

Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, there will be an opportunity to progress in fabrication and pipefitting.

The apprentice will be required to:

• Develop their interest/experience in the fabrication and welding of stainless-steel products

• Work will be based in the workshop and at customers' sites

This apprenticeship is delivered over a period of 18-months, with the apprentice being required to travel to In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG, one day per week during this time. The qualification will be Level 2 General Welding.
