Derby Theatre is seeking a proactive Stage Technician to join its Production & Technical team. You will support produced and visiting productions, learning projects, and events to high standards, working with artistic, production, and technical colleagues.

This hands-on role covers stage operations, rigging, maintenance, and backstage support, with opportunities to mentor casual staff and contribute to a learning theatre environment for students, artists, and audiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in stage operations and show running.
• Ability to rig, install and maintain theatre equipment.
• Flexible, collaborative mindset and willingness to supervise casual staff.

Responsibilities

• Support produced and visiting productions with technical support.
• Assist Head of Stage with day-to-day management.
• Help maintain stage facilities and ensure health and safety.
