Job summary

Nottingham Playhouse is offering a two-year, full-time Apprentice Technician role within our Technical and Production team in Nottingham. You will work alongside experienced theatre professionals to gain hands-on skills in lighting, sound, video and stage, while studying toward a Level 3 Creative Industries Production Technician qualification.

You’ll be part of a busy producing theatre, with opportunities to learn from multiple departments and possibly work on productions away from Nottingham

Qualifications

• This apprenticeship is suitable for someone excited about technical theatre and live events.
• Some school/college or voluntary experience in theatre is welcomed but not required.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop with training.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills across Lighting, Sound, Video and Stage.
• Assist with the technical delivery of Nottingham Playhouse productions.
• Help with get-ins, fit-ups, rehearsals and show operation.
• Learn safe working practices in technical theatre and maintain spaces.
