Job summary

Funding Circle Ltd. in London is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer to provide technical leadership for our Product Engineering team within the MPX group.

You will shape architecture, drive AI-powered innovation, and mentor senior engineers to raise the bar across the platform that serves internal and external customers. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role in a busy fintech environment offering a hybrid office model, collaboration with product leadership, and opportunities to influence

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading senior engineers.
• Experience with at least one major language (Python/Java/Ruby).
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux.
• Familiar with Agile, CI/CD, and TDD/BDD.
• Experience applying Generative AI to engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define target architecture and roadmap for MPX features.
• Write clear technical designs and standards.
• Mentor Lead Engineers and advise on complex problems.
• Drive AI-native engineering initiatives and tooling.
