Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking qualified nursing staff for a cardiothoracic area with a fixed-term 12-month contract to cover maternity. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, within a supportive NHS environment on the Lancashire coast.

The post requires a Registered Nurse (1st or 2nd Level) with willingness to undertake teaching and assessment qualifications, and possibly a diploma upgrade or conversion course to Part 1 of the NMC register.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Providing patient care and ensuring all activities of daily living are maintained whilst ensuring the patient receives safe and appropriate care.
  • Linking with all AHPs ensuring the patient receives timely and appropriate care.
  • Ensuring the patient receives their prescribed medications at the correct time.
  • Participating in a research and audit completion.
  • Ensuring all knowledge is recorded and up to date via the Trust system.
  • Answerable to Ward Manager and Matron.
