We'd like you to join us as a Staff Nurse (Tracheostomy and Neurorehabilitation) at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Kent.

At Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Centre, we look after adults with brain injuries or other neurological conditions. We’re committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, empowered, and enabled to live the best life possible.

What you'll be working:

We're flexible, so you'll work a total of 37.5 hours per week, on a rota basis.

What you'll be doing:

  • Acting as Primary Nurse, taking overall responsibility for the nursing input residents receive, through nursing assessments and care planning.
  • Contributing towards MDT working, risk assessment management, and a programme of ongoing clinical improvement.
  • Providing written nursing reports for statutory and clinical review processes.
  • Working according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant guidelines as a named nurse or key worker for a defined group of patients.
  • Supporting each patient in achieving their planned outcomes as a key team member.
  • Ensuring comprehensive, person-centered assessments are completed for patients/residents/clients to guide their pathway and care plan.
  • Taking charge of a designated clinical area.
  • Maintaining high standards of clinical documentation and patient notes.
  • Providing a highly specialized range of clinical interventions based on evidence-based models relevant to patient needs.
  • Working autonomously with confidence to deliver a safe, specialized service.
  • Adopting a flexible approach to working hours to meet service needs over a 24-hour period.

What you'll have:

  • A current NMC Pin registration (RGN)
  • A legal right to work in the UK
  • Up-to-date experience/knowledge of Tracheostomy care
  • Experience in neurorehabilitation setting
