Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 nurse with a neonatal interest to join the Special Care Baby Unit. You will bring existing nursing knowledge while developing your neonatal skills within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The post focuses on caring for infants on the SCBU, undertaking training to grow knowledge, and supporting family integrated care in collaboration with the team.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity for a Band 5 staff nurse with neonatal interest to join the neonatal team at Bassetlaw. We are looking for an individual who can bring existing nursing knowledge and skills to the team while continuing to develop their neonatal skills and knowledge.

The post holder will provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised holistic care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team within the neonatal unit. There is opportunity for training, growth and development within a supportive team on the Special Care Baby Unit. This role is ideally suited to nurses who are confident in their nursing practice, demonstrate sound clinical judgement, and are keen to further develop their skills within a specialist area.

Main duties of the job

Caring for infants requiring admission to the Special Care Baby Unit.

Undertaking training packages to improve knowledge and clinical skills.

Providing and supporting family integrated care on the Special Care Baby Unit.

Working alongside the multi disciplinary team to provide excellent evidence based care.

Qualifications & Training
