Qualifications

Staff Nurse RMN

We are recruiting Band 5 Staff Nurses for The Dementia Assessment Unit.

We welcome applications from Qualified & Student Staff Nurses

All wards are supported by a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) including dedicated Psychology and Occupational therapy staff, and Consultant Psychiatrist.

As a Staff Nurse on our ward you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to patients and will hold delegated responsibility for management of the ward on a shift basis including supervision of support staff.

Main duties of the job

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Registered Mental Nursing Certificate (RMN) or Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD)
  • Current Registration on part 3 or part 13 of NMC register
  • ENB 998 or other teaching certificate.
  • Accredited counselling course or equivalent.
Training
  • Willing to undertake training of SLIP- or equivalent, if not already attained.
Experience
  • Experience of being clinical adviser/supervisor to junior staff or students
  • Worked within named nurse role to a client group.
  • Experience/demonstrates interest and passion of working with clients who have dementia.
  • Worked as Named Nurse/Primary Nurse/Key worker.
  • Knowledge of Dementia's and contributing CQC compliance
