Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic paediatric staff nurses for the new Paediatric Emergency Department. You will care for children with injuries and illnesses, participate in training, and maintain high standards of patient safety. Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting new ED that opened its doors in Spring 2019, which includes a new Paediatric Emergency Department (PED) with our own resus bay.
At Wexham Park PED, patient safety and effective patient care is our priority. Presently our PED see approximately one third of the patients that present to ED. We are looking to recruit paediatric staff nurses who are enthusiastic and motivated about emergency medicine. You will work with patients and their families; caring for children with minor injuries and illness, as well as paediatric traumas, and the critically unwell child in resus. Our nurses have the opportunities to attend in-house training programmes, these include, safeguarding training, domestic abuse, plastering/suturing, venepuncture/cannulation and IV training. Other courses available are the High Dependency module, Mentorship course, PILS and EPLS/APLS.
