Job summary

Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital is seeking a Bank Staff Nurse in Oncology to join our ad-hoc bank workforce. You will support chemotherapy and new treatments, delivering tailored care and contributing to a high standard of patient outcomes.

Registered with the NMC and with Oncology SACT qualifications, you will bring post-registration Oncology experience and strong clinical skills to our dedicated team providing flexible hours Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Registered with the governing body (NMC).
• Experience in Oncology and SACT qualification.

Responsibilities

• Be a valued addition to the team in our consultant and nurse-led service.
• Work with patients receiving chemotherapy or immunotherapy.
• Fully assess each patient’s needs, providing tailored treatment plans and care.
• Administer systemic anti-cancer therapies.
• Assist consultants during clinics.
• Provide care for Acute Oncological emergencies.
• Access all central venous devices.
• Maintain excellent phlebotomy skills.

Bank Staff Nurse – Oncology
Wolverhampton Hospital | Oncology | Bank - Ad Hoc | Part Time

Up to £25.00 per hour depending on skills and experience

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

Working flexible hours Monday to Friday, you’ll be motivated to provide the highest standard of care.

As a Bank Staff Nurse in Oncology at our Wolverhampton Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you bring the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you have experience in Oncology and hold the SACT (systemic anti-cancer therapies) qualification.

As an Bank Staff Nurse -Oncology you will:
