Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic is hiring a Staff Nurse in Mental Health or Learning Disability. The role is full-time on a two-week rotation in a low secure ward, with day and night shifts. Salary ranges £39,176–£41,596 per year, plus a £5,000 welcome bonus and relocation support up to £3,000.

Access to development opportunities and professional support is provided. Applicants should be qualified with active NMC registration and a minimum 12 months post-registration MH/LD experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with active NMC registration.
• Minimum of 12 months post-registration experience in a mental health environment.
• Good understanding of NMC guidelines and professional standards.
• Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a commitment to change and delivering high-quality care.
• Ability to work flexibly and use innovative approaches to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in line with NMC standards.
• Work within the Multi-Disciplinary Team to support clients and carers.
• Maintain a safe and supportive care environment and professional accountability.
• Respond effectively to changing environments while delivering consistent care.
• Rotational shift patterns on a two-week cycle in a low secure forensic ward.
