Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse Immunisationsat Ayrshire Central Hospital.

What you will do:

To provide an accessible and effective nursing service to children and their families, taking forward the Public Health Agenda to maximise the health and wellbeing of all children.

The childhood flu immunisation programme represents a key public health measure which contributes to the reduction of health inequalities. Therefore achieving national and local health objectives through the focus on preventative care of school age children. As part of the Immunisation Service the post holder will provide professional nursing skills and knowledge to ensure the effective delivery of the Scottish Influenza programme.

To work as part of an integrated NHS Children and Families team, delivering immunisation services in all Secondary schools in the 3 localities in Ayrshire, ensuring a high-quality patient centred provision which is responsive to local need.

Hours:

6 positions - 27.5 per week

This is a fixed term contract from 15th September 2025 – 28th November 2025.

Hours of work will be 0900-1500 (Monday-Friday) - Annual leave week on 13th-17th October.

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

UK driving licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
