Job summary

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Nurse for a role within our Mental Health and Social Care services. The post is supported by Band 6 Nurses, a Ward Manager and experienced junior staff, with clear opportunities to mentor colleagues.

You will have completed your preceptorship, administer medications, document accurately, and support junior staff while liaising with AMPH and other NHS trusts. The Trust serves Surrey and North East Hampshire.

Qualifications

• Completed your preceptorship programme.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with AMPH for Mental Health Act assessments.
• Ensure safe admission and discharge of 135/136 patients.
• Maintain patient wellbeing in the suite.
• Provide junior staff support and supervision.
• Liaise with other NHS trusts and partners.
• Support assessments and decision making.
• Manage the care environment and patient safety.
• Administer medications and ensure accurate documentation.
• Assist bed management and resource allocation.
• Support Band 6 nurses in daily duties.
• Participate in audits and ensure readiness for CQC.

Are you an experienced Band 5 nurse looking for a unique opportunity? Health Based Place of Safety are recruiting a Band 5 Nurse.

For this role we would ask that you have completed your preceptorship programme and can confidently carry out medication, accurately document and support junior staff.

The post is supported by Band 6 Nurses, a Ward Manager and several extremely experienced junior staff.
