Our Emergency Department has expanded and therefore we are looking to recruit a professional and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse. We take great pride in being part of a top performing Trust and top performing Emergency Department.
We are looking for nurses who are enthusiastic and motivated, and can demonstrate a kind and compassionate attitude, with a desire to provide effective and efficient urgent and Emergency Care practice. Our Emergency Department and co-located Urgent Care Centre treats over 140,000 patients a year. We have a dedicated Paediatric Emergency Department which operates 24/7. With strong nursing leadership, dedicated ED Matrons, and Professional Development nurses to guide and support you in conjunction with an allocated mentor. We provide high quality emergency care and give structured support and development to all our nurses including a tailored induction at the start. This post is for adult Registered Nurses.
The staff nurse will accept delegated responsibility for specific activities/areas from the senior nurse.
S/he will maintain the philosophy, policies, standards of care and morale of the department, whilst also being aware of the importance of the role in supporting members of the emergency team, in line with the Trust values – Excellent, Safe, Kind and Respectful.
S/he will strive to deliver high standards of care to patients and their carers.
S/he will continue to develop, practice and expand own general and specialist nursing skills.
S/he will work with colleagues to ensure high standards of nursing care in the department.
S/he will maintain high standards of professional and ethical responsibility, and be aware of medico-legal aspects of the emergency department.
