Experienced Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department (A&E)
St Thomas’ Emergency Department is situated on the South Bank of the Thames in Central London. It serves a large and diverse population, with an average yearly attendance of 140,000. The department is a level 2 trauma unit and includes an Urgent Care Centre. It has recently undergone a £20 million rebuild, creating a large emergency floor with various units including ED, an Acute Admission Ward, a Multi Specialty Assessment Unit, a Paediatric ED, a Psychiatric Liaison Team, and a Practice Development Team.
The department was rated Outstanding by the CQC in 2021. We offer excellent development opportunities, protected teaching time, and a dedicated Practice Development team. We also have links with King's College London for those interested in further academic qualifications. If providing high-quality patient care and possessing adaptable skills are your priorities, we welcome your application. Post-registration acute experience is required.
