Join Our Team as a Staff Nurse in the Emergency Department at Frimley Park Hospital!

Are you a dedicated and passionate nurse eager to contribute to high-quality patient care? We are looking for enthusiastic Staff Nurses to join our multi-disciplinary team in the Emergency Department.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to take on responsibilities across various areas of clinical practice, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care. We are committed to supporting your professional growth through ongoing development and in-house training, helping you gain invaluable experience while caring for a diverse patient mix.

With modernised facilities and a strong focus on patient care, now is an exciting time to join us! We offer full-time and part-time positions with rotational day and night shifts. If you prefer late shifts, twilight, or night shifts to suit your work-life balance, we welcome your application.

Previous ward-based experience is required for this role.

Main duties of the job

o To work within a multi-disciplinary team, in the delivery of high-quality patient care to patients & relatives. o Support shift leader ensuring that all documentation is up to date and report any changes in the patients' condition. o To contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice. o To demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal between patients and members of the multi-disciplinary team. o To communicate effectively with patients and their relatives. o To advise on the promotion of health & prevention of illness. o To liaise with appropriate clinical specialists in relation to individual patient needs e.g. Doctors, Occupational therapists, physiotherapists and In Reach matrons. To assist medical staff, ensure that treatments are effective and advise on nursing priorities. o To promote good working relationships with the ambulance service, police and other supporting agencies. o To act as an advocate for patients and their relatives/carers. o To communicate to colleague's individual need for support (through preceptorship programme)

  • Able to work flexible shifts weekends and bank holidays as required
