Overview

To oversee both general dermatology clinics and urgent skin cancer clinics supporting patients and clinicians. Provide nursing support within dermatology outpatients clinics including dressing clinic, phototherapy and patch testing. Conduct dermatology assessments and diagnostic tests. Demonstrate good communication skills, caring and hardworking professional individual committed to working in a busy, challenging environment and assist the team in delivering excellent patient care.

Key responsibilities
  • Oversee general dermatology clinics and urgent skin cancer clinics.
  • Provide nursing support in specialist services including dressing clinic, phototherapy and patch testing.
  • Conduct dermatology assessments and diagnostic tests.
  • Assist the team in delivering excellent patient care.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse, current NMC registration.
  • BSc in Nursing (Diploma in Nursing minimum).
  • Post registration qualification in relevant specialty (essential).
  • Recent clinical nursing experience as a student or registered nurse (essential).
  • Evidence of maintaining a clinical learning environment.
Desirable criteria
  • Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor Training.
  • Experience within relevant clinical setting.
  • Evidence of working with learners.
  • Sound clinical nursing knowledge and understanding of nursing issues and clinical governance.
  • Demonstrates awareness of own limitations.
  • Appropriate UK professional registration.
