Alan Cummings Day Surgery Unit consists of six theatres and a 30-bedded ward area, situated within the premises of Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough. The unit is seeking an NMC Registered Nurses to work Monday to Saturday, including night shifts.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5 nurses who is eager to develop their clinical skills in a Day Surgery setting. This position is ideal for a newly qualified nurses.

The Successful Candidate Will Work In a Busy And Fast-paced Environment, Caring For Patients Before And After Surgery Across a Variety Of Specialities, Including

  • Gynaecology
  • Vascular Surgery
  • General Surgery
  • Breast Surgery
  • Laparoscopic Procedures
  • Dental
  • Orthopaedics
  • Urology
  • Pain Management
  • Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Paediatrics
  • ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat)
  • To provide expert, holistic care of a high standard to perioperative patients and their relatives within King’s College Hospital.
  • To work within the multidisciplinary team to provide continuous care to a group of patients from admission to discharge within the department.
  • To assist in the leadership and development of an identified group of practitioners within the department.
  • To act as a clinical resource within the department and across the Care Group, as necessary.
  • To act as a positive role model for junior members of staff.
