Alan Cummings Day Surgery Unit - Job Opportunity for Band 5 Nurses

The Alan Cummings Day Surgery Unit, located within Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough, comprises six theatres and a 30-bed ward area. We are seeking NMC Registered Nurses to work Monday to Saturday, including night shifts.

This is an exciting opportunity for Band 5 nurses eager to develop their clinical skills in a Day Surgery setting. The position is particularly suitable for newly qualified nurses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Caring for patients before and after surgery across various specialties, including:
• Gynaecology
• Vascular Surgery
• General Surgery
• Breast Surgery
• Laparoscopic Procedures
• Dental
• Orthopaedics
• Urology
• Pain Management
• Maxillofacial Surgery
• Paediatrics
• ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat)

Additional responsibilities include:

• Providing expert, holistic care to perioperative patients and their relatives within King’s College Hospital.
• Working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuous care from admission to discharge.
• Assisting in the leadership and development of a designated group of practitioners.
• Acting as a clinical resource within the department and across the Care Group.
• Serving as a positive role model for junior staff members.
