Position

We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated Registered Mental Health Nurses to join the inpatient team within Clonbeith Ward, Ailsa Hospital. Please note, the ward will be relocating to Irvine in approximately 5 years, and applicants should be able to travel when the move occurs.

Clonbeith Ward is a 12-bed ward caring for patients with complex organic mental health issues who experience stress, distress, and related behaviors.

This position is offered on a permanent basis.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for delivering person-centred, evidence-based, and recovery-focused interventions. You will also work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and across multi-agency services. You should demonstrate the ability to accept and delegate responsibilities for the ongoing assessment, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Knowledge, training, and/or experience required:

As a registered mental health nurse with current NMC registration, you should have a genuine interest in working with people living with dementia. Previous experience in this field is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

We welcome applications from individuals who can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, along with a positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team, are essential.

You should be willing to undertake training to develop your skills and competencies as required.
