NCIC in Whitehaven is recruiting a Band 5 registered nurse to join Ward 5 at West Cumberland Hospital. This full-time post is 37.5 hours per week on a 24/7 rotating shift including days, nights and weekends.

You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, support patients and families, and liaise with departments to ensure safe transfers. The Trust offers development opportunities and a twelve-month preceptorship for newly registered professionals.

Qualifikationen

We are seeking a motivated registered Nurse to join our team.

We are an 28 bedded medical ward caring for patients with a range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Main duties of the job

Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, providing the prescribed nursing care without supervision. Contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice in the unit.

Support Patients, and their families, during their diagnosis and treatment

Liaise with other departments both at WCH and CIC to ensure the safe transfer of the Patients.

The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.

Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.

  • Registered Nurse adult with active NMC registration or working towards
  • ILS or Equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
  • Student nurse or general nursing within the NHS or equivalent.
  • Coronary Care experience.
  • Teaching /supporting students experience.
  • NIV experience.

  • Ability to work as a member of a team, without close supervision.
