The Royal Marsden is a centre of excellence with an international reputation for ground-breaking research, complex major surgery, and pioneering the latest in cancer treatments and technologies. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Band 5 Staff Nurse for Granard House 1, a private inpatient ward comprising 7 self-contained rooms.

The successful candidate will be passionate about oncology nursing, with the vision and dedication to help deliver high-quality patient care. As a good team player, you will collaborate with the Manager and other nursing team leaders to foster effective communication and improve processes to enhance the patient pathway. Key Responsibilities:

1. To plan, document, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients responsibly and efficiently, in conjunction with the shift co-ordinator.
2. To develop a greater understanding of the needs of patients with cancer and the different treatment modalities used within the unit.
3. To understand the roles and responsibilities involved in managing a shift, under the guidance of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
