Job summary

Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group is seeking a Registered Nurse to organise, prepare and assist with specialist clinics including wound review, skin cancer lists and casualty. You will prepare medical and orthodontic notes, obtain investigation results from X-ray, MRI and CT scans, and manage orthodontic appliances from the laboratory.

You will develop specialist knowledge, supervise others where appropriate, and uphold professional standards as a role model to junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medical and orthodontic notes for clinics including obtaining investigation results from X-ray, MRI and CT scans.
• Obtain orthodontic appliances from the laboratory.
• Develop and maintain specialist knowledge and support development of others.
• Maintain professional standards and be a role model to junior staff.
• Ensure patient attendance meets expectations with timely procedures and effective communication with relatives, patients and carers.
• Assist in Oral surgery, skin procedures under local anaesthetic, IV sedation and minor operations, Orthodontics and specialised clinics such as Orthognathic.

Job description

To organise, prepare and assist with specialist clinics e.g., wound review clinic, Skin cancer lists and casualty.

Prepare medical and orthodontic notes for clinics including obtaining investigation results from computerised systems - Xrays MRI and CT scans.

Obtaining Orthodontic appliances from the laboratory.

Take on responsibility for personal development and support the development and supervision of others by developing and maintaining specialist knowledge.

Conduct oneself in a professional manner and be a role model to less experienced and new staff at all times

Work proactively to ensure that every patient attendance meets the patient’s expectations and needs with timely undertaking of procedure and effective communication with relatives, patients and carers.

Clinics you will assist in our Oral surgery, Skin procedures under local anaesthetic, IV sedation and minor operations, Orthodontics and specialised clinics such as Orthognathic.

You will need to be a highly motivated and confident member of the team. Our patients will expect and will receive the highest standards of professional care by all members of the team.

The Hours Required Are

Weekdays 08:30 - 17:00

Weekends 08:30 - approx 12:30
