Job summary

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Nurse to organise, prepare and assist with specialist clinics such as wound review and skin cancer lists. You will prepare notes, obtain results from computerised systems and assist with orthodontic clinics.

The role emphasises professional conduct, development of others, and effective communication with relatives, patients and carers. Weekday hours and some weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with capacity to supervise others and develop specialist knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives and carers.
• Willingness to work across multiple clinics including oral surgery and orthodontics.
• Professional conduct and role modelling at all times.

Responsibilities

To organise, prepare and assist with specialist clinics e.g., wound review clinic, Skin cancer lists and casualty.

Prepare medical and orthodontic notes for clinics including obtaining investigation results from computerised systems - Xrays MRI and CT scans.

Obtaining Orthodontic appliances from the laboratory.

Take on responsibility for personal development and support the development and supervision of others by developing and maintaining specialist knowledge.Conduct oneself in a professional manner and be a role model to less experienced and new staff at all times

Work proactively to ensure that every patient attendance meets the patient's expectations and needs with timely undertaking of procedure and effective communication with relatives, patients and carers., This post is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team and support the speciality to ensure the provision of a high standard of patient care. This is a great opportunity for you to develop and expand your skills as a Registered Nurse to the next level.Clinics you will assist in our Oral surgery, Skin procedures under local anaesthetic, IV sedation and minor operations, Orthodontics and specialised clinics such as Orthognathic.You will need to be a highly motivated and confident member of the team. Our patients will expect and will receive the highest standards of professional care by all members of the team.The hours required are:Weekdays 08:30 - 17:00Weekends 08:30 - approx 12:30
