At Birmingham Hospice our teams are committed to improving quality of life for people living with life-limiting conditions as well as supporting their families and loved ones during one of the most challenging periods they will ever face.

We are seeking NMC Registered Adult Nurses to join our In Patient Unit at Selly Park. You will be working alongside our skilled multi-disciplinary team to deliver the highest possible standard of person-centred palliative and end of life care to our patients and their families. You will be required to take charge of the ward as and when required. The role will also involve supervising Band 2 staff, student nurses and other Clinical Trainees. Administration of drugs in line with Birmingham Hospice policy and professional guidance is a fundamental part of the role.

This post will be predominately based at our Selly Park site. However, there may be times where work across both hospice sites is expected. Full time and part time working hours will be considered.

Requirements:

• NMC Registered Adult Nurse (RGN) with evidence of continuous professional development
• Excellent standard of nursing care and clinical knowledge
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience of palliative care desirable although not essential
