Job summary

Active Care Group's Ivetsey Bank Hospital in Stafford is looking for a Staff Nurse to join one of the UK's largest providers in Neuro and Mental Healthcare. You will contribute to safe, person-centred care for 12-18 year olds and support multidisciplinary teams.

Key duties include assessing care needs, developing and evaluating care plans and discharge planning; under supervision, developing clinical practice, teaching and management skills; and stepping in to cover shifts as required.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse (RMN/RNLD) with current pin.
• Legal right to work in the U.K.

Responsibilities

• Protect and support the health of individual patients/residents.
• Assess care and health education needs.
• Develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care including discharge planning.
• Gain experience in clinical practice, facilitation and teaching under supervision.
• Take charge of the ward/department in the absence of senior staff as needed.
• Adopt a flexible approach to hours to meet service needs over a 24 hour period.

Ivetsey Bank Hospital is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital for young people aged 12-18 with a diagnosed mental health condition. We’re committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy and empowered, enabling them to live the best life possible.

What you'll be working:

• Protecting and supporting the health of individual patients / residents
• Assessment of care and health education needs
• Development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient
• Under supervision, to gain experience and skills in:
• Clinical practice
• Facilitation and teaching
• Management (as appropriate)
• To take charge of the ward/department/unit in the absence of senior nursing staff following performance review.
• To adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty, in order to meet the needs of the service over a 24 hour period.

What you'll have:

• A current NMC Pin registration - RMN/ RNLD
• A legal right to work in the U.K.
