Outpatient Breast Clinic is recruiting healthcare Support workers to join our team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Outpatient Breast Clinic Nursing team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. The right candidate must be flexible, approachable, caring and compassionate plus an excellent communicator. Experience of the health service is desirable but not essential. Training and support will be given to the appointed individual.

Main duties of the job

  1. The post holder will manage, maintain and support effectively Outpatients Departments in St Bartholomew’s Hospital. The Oncology Clinic is open on a Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00.
  2. The post holder will work alongside Junior Staff, student Nurses, Nursing Assistants and Sister and Charge Nurse and the other members of Multi-Disciplinary team and provide support in caring for patients.
  3. The post holder will be expected to set and maintain high standards of care and be accountable for auditing and monitoring those standards.
  4. The post holder will work with large oncology team such as Breast, Gynaecology, Haematology teams.
  5. The post holder will promote safe competent and evidence based practice in line with national objectives and within clinical governance framework.

  • Experience in an outpatient setting
  • Experience in the management of the acutely unwell patient
  • Post registration experience including recent experience within the outpatient department
