• Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 (pro rata)

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Nurse to join the Barra Nursing Team. This island post offers an interesting, rewarding, and challenging environment with opportunities for developing experience and skills in a remote and rural setting. The Integrated team works across the Hospital (3 beds), Emergency room, and Community workload, providing patient-centered care to the communities of Barra and Vatersay.

The Islands of Barra and Vatersay are known for their beaches, sporting activities, community spirit, and Gaelic culture. The island features the UK's only airport beach runway, daily flights to the Mainland, a ferry service from Oban, and multiple sailings to adjacent islands.

Candidate Requirements

• Registered nurse with a current NMC registration
