Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a registered nurse to join the Highland Urology Centre, an busy outpatient unit delivering consultant clinics, nurse specialist clinics, diagnostic procedures and planned treatments for urological conditions.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, perform patient assessments, assist with procedures and provide patient education before, during and after treatments or investigations. Prior urology experience is desirable but training is provided.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to join our busy and supportive team in the Highland Urology Centre. The Highland Urology Centre is a dedicated outpatient unit for urology patients to receive the expertise of an entire team in one area. The department delivers consultant outpatient clinics, nurse specialist clinics, diagnostic procedures such as cystoscopies and prostate biopsies and the delivery of planned treatments for a variety of urological conditions.

The role requires excellent communication, organisational and clinical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will be involved in patient assessments, assisting with procedures, patient education, and monitoring patients before, during and after treatments or investigations. Previous urology experience is desirable but not essential as full support and training will be provided.
