Job description

An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Registered Nurse to work in an exceptional care home based in the Biggleswade, Bedfordshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.

This care home is designed for older people with dementia. The home provides a specialist nursing service for individuals with a diagnosis of mid-late stage dementia.

To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a current active NMC Pin.

Key duties include:

1. Providing leadership and support for support staff and acting as a champion for residents' safety and dignity.
2. Maintaining skills and knowledge, ensuring that care is delivered according to the latest guidelines and best practice evidence.
3. Ensuring the ongoing safety of service users, residents, staff, and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring, and reviewing processes.
4. Maintaining clear and accurate records and communication systems related to clinical and care delivery.
5. Acting as a role model for good clinical and care governance practices.
6. Taking charge of the unit regularly and, in the absence of the management team, accepting responsibility for the smooth and effective running of the unit.
7. Helping to maintain the security of the building and its environment.

Preferred skills and experience:

• Previous experience in older people's care is desirable but not essential.
• Caring and compassionate with an excellent clinical track record.
• Passionate about delivering outstanding care to older people.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Quality-driven with a desire to continually improve yourself and services.

The successful nurse will receive an excellent salary of £20.00 per hour, with an annual salary up to £45,760. We have permanent vacancies for both day and night shifts.
