Job summary

Artificial Societies is building a Societal World Model to simulate how individuals and groups shape opinions. We seek a Member of Technical Staff to push the frontier of our foundation models, spanning training, evaluation, and deployment.

You will design efficient training from real-world observations, explore auto-regression and diffusion for human decisions, and craft evaluation methodologies that quantify realism.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an applied research or research engineering role.
• Experience in post-training and evaluating LLMs: RL, dataset and reward design, synthetic data, or related training methods.

Responsibilities

• Train large-scale models and apply frontier ML methods to develop state-of-the-art simulations.
• Ground models in data by learning from large-scale behavioural datasets.
• Own evaluation and calibration methodology to measure fidelity against real-world decisions.
