Job Description Summary

The instructor's primary role is to deliver high-quality, engaging, and effective training on GEV ADMS (Heritage and GridOS) products to a diverse group of learners, ensuring they acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to utilize the software efficiently.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Training Delivery: Lead training sessions, both remote and in-person, to ensure participants understand the Grid Software products features, capabilities, and how to use it effectively. Use a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises to accommodate different learning styles.
  2. Engagement and Motivation: Foster an interactive and engaging learning environment to keep participants motivated and interested. Encourage participants through Q&A sessions, group activities, and interactive demonstrations.
  3. Assessment and Evaluation: Maintain assessments to measure learners' understanding and skills. Provide constructive feedback and offer additional resources for learners who need help. Encourage participant feedback to evaluate the training effectiveness.
  4. Documentation and Reporting: Keep records of participant progress and attendance.
  5. Curriculum and Course Material Development: Maintain and update training materials, including presentations, manuals, and labs, reflecting new software features and best practices. Collaborate with the Content/Curriculum Development team for accurate content.
  6. Product Knowledge Maintenance: Stay current with updates, features, and functionalities of Grid Software products. Continuously improve personal knowledge and skills.
  7. Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders/SMEs to ensure training content aligns with the software roadmap and meets user needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in Power Systems Engineering and/or Computer Science.
  • Basic understanding of the electric utility industry.
  • Extensive experience (3-5+ years) with ADMS (s3 or s6), including electrical distribution operations, automation, and controls systems.
  • Understanding of programming and databases (Oracle/SQL).
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Knowledge of GridOS technologies, including K8, Kafka, Linux.
  • Strong understanding of the GridOS platform (Foundation, DDLR, Data Fabric).
  • Proven instructional methodologies and teaching techniques.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software tools.
  • Experience in in-person and remote training environments.
  • Willingness to work across multiple global time zones, including India, Europe, North America.
  • Open to domestic and international travel.
