Job summary

ARM is seeking a Staff Hardware Security Engineer to strengthen the security of SoC platforms. You will identify vulnerabilities in silicon-level security features and collaborate with architecture and silicon teams to bolster platform security.

Expect hands-on analysis, PoC demonstrations, and tool development across complex SoCs. The role requires deep knowledge of microarchitecture, hardware interfaces, and security boundaries, with experience in C and assembly (Arm).

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in offensive security, vulnerability research, or low-level systems security.
• Deep understanding of microarchitecture, SoC design principles, and security boundaries.
• Experience reviewing architectural specs and RTL for security behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on security evaluations of SoC hardware components and security features.
• Identify and analyze hardware security vulnerabilities through architecture reviews and testing.
• Create proof-of-concept demonstrations showing real-world implications of vulnerabilities.
• Develop and apply hardware security techniques for silicon security and trust architectures.
• Develop tools and methodologies for hardware security assessments and experimentation.
• Collaborate with architecture, silicon design, firmware, and platform teams to communicate findings and mitigation plans.
