Job summary

Graphcore is seeking a hands-on Engineer to own reliability across lab bring-up and data centre operations for AI compute platforms. You will diagnose failures, lead root-causes and drive corrective actions with fast, factual decision making.

Join a cross-disciplinary team including hardware, firmware and data centre engineers. You’ll help scale new platforms from early bring-up through deployment, delivering robust performance under pressure and with clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of server hardware architectures and board-level debugging.
• Experience isolating failures using system logs, telemetry, power data and thermal metrics.
• Hands-on experience with HPC systems, AI compute platforms or rack-scale infrastructure.
• Ability to lead structured root cause analysis and propose practical corrective actions.
• Confidence working across engineering, platform and data centre teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the judgement to guide junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability of AI compute hardware across lab and data centre environments.
• Lead advanced operational, diagnostic and engineering support for bring-up, validation and troubleshooting of AI compute platforms.
• Diagnose failures across server blades, racks, power, thermal, network configuration and BIOS/BMC issues.
• Turn complex problems into root cause analyses, corrective actions and better operating practice.
• Support new platforms from early bring-up through deployment to enable faster, more confident progress.
