Job summary

Dex is partnering with fast-growing developers to build real-time messaging infrastructure used by millions. This Staff-level, full-stack Technical Lead role reports to the CTO and oversees a five-engineer team across analytics, docs, marketing site, sign-up and billing.

You set architecture, champion full-stack ownership, and drive AI tool adoption. The role blends hands-on coding with people leadership in a growth-stage environment, collaborating closely with PMs and customers.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack JavaScript engineer with backend experience.
• Experience leading a small engineering team.
• Proven track record shipping solutions for developer or technical personas.
• Experience integrating LLMs and AI tools into engineering workflows.
• Comfort co-creating features with PMs and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical vision and architecture for all customer-facing web applications.
• Lead a team of five full-stack engineers.
• Act as catalyst for integrating AI tools and LLMs into engineering workflows.
• Set the bar for code quality, testing, and incident response.
• Collaborate with SDK and real-time infrastructure teams.
