Job summary

Dex, working with a trusted partner, seeks an experienced backend engineer to help build an AI operating system that turns fragmented, unstructured data into structured, queryable data. You will own the backend end-to-end from day one and set architectural direction with autonomy.

Design data pipelines, build orchestration workflows, integrate diverse data sources, and ship APIs and services that power insights.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years building and shipping backend services.
• Strong Python across APIs and services.
• Experience with data pipelines and orchestration tools.
• Startup mindset with ability to ship independently.
• Backend development experience; customer interactions a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design and own data pipelines from ingestion through cleaning and transformation.
• Build orchestration workflows to ensure reliable data movement.
• Integrate messy customer systems into structured, queryable data.
• Develop the APIs and backend services that serve insights.
• Define patterns for CI/CD, testing, deploy automation, and shape the overall architecture.
